LMCC notes nine locals being honored at 14th Annual Salute to Local Heroes

The La Mesa Chamber of Commerce will have its 14th Annual Salute to Local Heroes dinner in early October.

This special night entitled “Lights, Camera, Celebrate!” is an enjoyable evening and community celebration. The event is being held on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at Sycuan Casino Resort, 5469 Casino Way (Heritage Ballroom) in El Cajon.

This event celebrates the strength of the community and honors nine local heroes that serve the community. The evening is an opportunity to come together and honor those dedicated to La Mesa citizens and the entire community.

These heroes are from law enforcement, the fire district, the paramedic field, and the retired senior volunteer patrol.

This year’s heroes to be honored are American Medical Response – Paramedic Ed Bell, Paramedic Missy Hale and Paramedic Melissa Luna, Heartland Fire & Rescue Deputy Fire Marshal Rachel Clarke, Heartland Communications Facility Authority –Dispatcher Kim Gonzales, La Mesa Police Department –Detective Jamie Roberts, Officer Hannah Rost and Downtown Operations Assistant Slawomir Stojanowski and La Mesa Police Department Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol –Clarke Stillwagen.
