
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department personnel rescued a man Tuesday evening after he drove through a fence and over the side of a cliff near La Jolla Cove. According to SDPD, the 76-year-old man died on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, rescuers were called at 8:08 p.m. regarding a car driven off the road in the 1200 block of Coast Boulevard, Fox 5 San Diego reported. Six first responders rescued the driver from the vehicle, which they found in the water at the bottom of the cliff. Police and firefighters remained at the scene and removed the vehicle from the water on Wednesday.
