Recently, La Mesa Mayor Arapostathis announced the 2024 selections of Miss La Mesa and Miss Teen La Mesa 2024, respectively to a crowded group at the Sundays at Six Summer Concerts at Harry Griffen Park.
Young women ages 10-26 who live, work or attend school in La Mesa are eligible to participate on a yearly basis.
Miss La Mesa has been a tradition in the city since the early 1950’s. It has evolved into a mentoring program for young women to learn public speaking, leadership and earn community service hours. As a city ambassador, the young ladies who are selected, volunteer countless hours in the La Mesa community each year.
