The search for a missing La Mesa woman has tragically ended.
The body of 71-year-old Vivian Crowder was discovered by California Highway Patrol and Caltrans workers Monday morning (Dec. 2) along the onramp from La Mesa Boulevard to eastbound I-8. The cause and manner of death are pending. Crowder had been reported missing in late October.
The La Mesa Police Department’s Investigations Unit, in partnership with the San Diego County Medical Examiner, will continue to investigate Crowder’s death.
In a release from the LMPD, they thanked the many citizens, volunteer organizations, and Sheriff’s Search and Rescue, for their efforts to locate Crowder.
The Crowder Family asks for privacy during this difficult time.
