Mission Bay Hunger Walk will take place Saturday, April 28 8 to 10 a.m. at Crown Point Park. Hunger affects more than San Diego’s 9,100 homeless people. Hunger is the constant companion of tens of thousands of San Diego’s working poor and unemployed. A recent report from the San Diego Hunger Coalition tells us that out of 3.1 million residents, over 505,000 live in poverty. Of this number 61,000 are children who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. These people live 200% below the Federal Poverty level. Help us to help them…hunger hurts.
