San Diegans in El Cerrito and surrounding areas who live in a single-family neighborhood and receive trash and recycling collection services from the Environmental Services Department (ESD) have an opportunity to take a new cost-of-service survey. The survey asks for your opinion on what trash and recycling services you would like and how much, and if, you would be willing to pay extra for them.
The City of San Diego Cost-of-Service study (Trash Study) is a public process to evaluate services and potential new fees for City-provided residential trash, recycling and organic waste collection services.
Your opinion matters and your feedback on the new survey will help the city determine if new services are desired (or not) by residents, if they are desired, what residents are willing pay for any new services, if residents’ priority is to keep costs rather than increase costs and fees for new services, and how much residents are willing to pay for any new services.
