OCEAN BEACH — The Ocean Beach Town Council will, for at least the 20th year, come to the rescue of about 85 disadvantaged families and residents of the OB Woman’s Shelter during this season’s Ocean Beach Food and Toy Drive. As a result of the donations and fundraising events associated with the OB Holiday Parade and Tree Festival, volunteers will gather from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight to assemble food and gift baskets for delivery tomorrow, Dec. 18 at 9 a.m. Participating volunteers will stage at the United Methodist Church, located at 1984 Sunset Cliffs Blvd., then set out to distribute the items to families and the shelter. The Ocean Beach Town Council is still accepting and in need of donations for the tradition. Those who wish to help may send donations to: OBTC, C/O Toy Drive, P.O.
