The theme was designed around the new Point Loma Gateway Project, a Peninsula beautification initiative. The Point Loma Association (PLA) was raising funds to support the installation of a welcome sign at the northeast entrance of the Peninsula at the south median off Rosecrans and Lytton to welcome visitors.
The evening was filled with various activities including a silent auction with local favorites from fitness, art, and dining to a live auction with extravagant trips and culinary experiences.
NTC Foundation received the 2024 Lighthouse Award to recognize their contribution to the Peninsula.
Clark Anthony Burlingame received the 2024 Community Champion Award for his time served on the board and for publishing the Peninsula News newsletter every week, keeping the community informed of news, current events, and PLA activities around the Point.
The PLA is a nonprofit community volunteer-led organization started in 1961 to beautify, inform, and advocate to improve the quality of life on “The Point” for generations to come. For information, visit pointloma.org.
