Mission Valley mall invites the community to a number of fun-filled shopping and entertainment events centered around Halloween this fall, including a pop-up Spirit Halloween store, a traditional “Pumpkin Station” pumpkin patch, and a fun-filled Trick-or-Treat event for all ages with a 30-minute theatrical performance for children ages 3 to 5. - Spirit Halloween: Open now through the end of October in the tent in the parking lot near Bank of America, Spirit Halloween, the largest Halloween retailer in North America and a one-stop destination for all-things-Halloween, will offer immersive and interactive experiences for shoppers, complete with a vast assortment of costumes and accessories for infants, toddlers, children, tweens, teens, and adults alongside exclusive décor and spooky animatronics. The tent will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday throughout the month of October. For more information, visit Spirit Halloween.
- Pumpkin Station: Beginning Friday, Sept. 27, the Pumpkin Station, a traditional pumpkin patch, will be located in the Mission Valley parking lot closest to the freeway near The Broken Yolk Cafe. The Pumpkin Station will feature fun rides, a petting zoo and a pumpkin patch where visitors can pick the perfect pumpkin for Halloween. There are different ticket prices for individuals, families and groups. The Pumpkin Station will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, visit the Pumpkin Station.
- Trick-or-Treat Event: On Thursday, Oct. 31 (Halloween), from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Mission Valley invites children and their families to visit participating stores to collect Halloween candy (while supplies last). Each participating store will be marked so families know where to go. The Trick-or-Treat event is free of charge with no pre-registration required. Also taking place during the Trick-or-Treat event, Trinity Theatre, a local performing arts company, will host a 30-minute performance of “The Little Old Woman Who Was Not Afraid Of Anything” by Linda Williams from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the outdoor stage in the center’s AMC Court. The performance, designed for children ages 3 to 5, will be free of charge, but space is limited and pre-registration is required; to pre-register, visit bit.ly/3Zl3WAB.
