This month we will be displaying the colorful quilts of Noreen Ring up to Oct. 31 in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery. Join her for her artist’s reception on Oct. 15 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Author, Jerome Stravye Jr., will discuss his book, Broken Promises (pictured above), on Friday, Oct. 28, from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. This is an expose of how bureaucrats broke the promise Abraham Lincoln made to care for our veterans and their families 150 years ago. For the sake of numbers, they compromised American veteran’s mental health care and harmed the well-being of the counselors who care for them.
On Saturday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., join us for a special storytime in which the children help act out the story. In celebration of Halloween, Literature Comes to Life will present the story Big Pumpkin by Erica Silverman. Kids will love becoming storybook characters and participating in this interactive event.
