
San Diego FC will open what it hopes will be an impressive and memorable inaugural season on Sunday, Feb. 23 against the reigning MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park. SDFC will play 34 matches split evenly between home and away, not counting any potential Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup games that will depend on the league selects the club as an MLS representative for that tournament. San Diego FC will play its first home match on Saturday, March 1 at Snapdragon Stadium against St. Louis City SC followed by a road game versus Real Salt Lake on March 8.
SDFC will then return home to take on three-time MLS Cup winner Columbus Crew on March 15 followed by a trip to Texas to face Austin FC on March 23. San Diego FC will come back to Snapdragon Stadium for back-to-back games versus LAFC and the Seattle Sounders on March 29 and April 5 before going on a two-game road trip to take on the Colorado Rapids on April 12 and Charlotte FC on April 19.
There will be no meetings with Inter Miami, which is led by the talents of Argentina national team legend and World Cup champion Lionel Messi who is under contract with the team from Florida through the end of the upcoming season.
San Diego FC will close out the regular season on the road against the Portland Timbers on Oct. 18 and open the pre-season competing in the 2025 Coachella Valley Invitational (CVI) at the Empire Polo Club in Indio from Feb. 8-15. The first pre-season match will be against New York City.
