“The ability to help shape a club is something very unique, even more, once I’ve gotten to know about the club vision and the ownership group. I am excited about the future of football in San Diego and what we will accomplish together,” he added.
Campos will provide line management direction and support for the leaders within the departments of brand, community and communication, facilities and retail operations, and IT/ technology in his new position. He will also be part of the club’s executive management team playing a pivotal role in shaping SDFC’s overall success, fostering a strong club identity, and enhancing fan engagement.
“I am thrilled to welcome Ricardo [Campos] as our executive vice president of club operations,” said Tom Penn, CEO, of San Diego MLS. “Ricardo’s inclusion in our leadership team will be pivotal in defining our success, building a distinctive club identity, and engaging with our audience the San Diego way.”
San Diego MLS will be announcing an event open to the public in the coming days with an exact time and location to be determined after having one recently in Carlsbad on Aug. 30.
