
The San Diego State University women’s softball team rallied in the last half of the seventh inning for a 5-4 win over visiting San Jose State University last Saturday. The win culminated in a three-game sweep of the Spartans.
Senior catcher Cali Decker had much reason to smile after delivering the game-winning hit in the afternoon finale.
SDSU enters this week’s Mountain West Conference Softball Championship (play begins Wednesday) as the second seed and is slated to play its first game Thursday evening. More tourney action will continue through Saturday afternoon, with the Aztecs being the host school.
