The La Mesa Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 71-year-old Vivian Crowder, who has been missing for more than a week. Crowder was last seen outside a salon in La Mesa around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
Crowder suffers from dementia and does not have her medication with her. She was last seen wearing a beige head wrap, blue denim jacket, blue and brown floral shirt, black stretch pants with rhinestones, and turquoise shoes.
Community members are encouraged to call 9-1-1 immediately if they believe they see Crowder, avoid contacting her directly, and observe her from a distance while awaiting a law enforcement response. Given Crowder’s health conditions, she may be confused and startle if contacted by a stranger.
For any tips or information regarding past-sightings of Crowder, or to share information with investigators, the La Mesa Police Department has set up a tip-line at (619) 667-7537.
Authorities are asking for the community’s assistance in bringing Crowder safely home to her family.
This includes keeping an eye out for her during your travels, sharing any pertinent information, and sharing this story via personal social media platforms.
