Law enforcement continues its search for a La Mesa woman not seen since Oct. 29.
According to La Mesa Police Department Services Lieutenant/PIO Katy Lynch, 71-year-old Vivian Crowder is still missing.
“Her last known location was walking along the right shoulder of northbound 125, near the I-8 overpass. That sighting was reported to CHP (pedestrian on the freeway) on 10/29/24 at 12:14 p.m.,” Lynch said.
Lynch noted that CHP units checked the area at that time, but did not locate her.
“We are hoping that a good Samaritan picked her up and drove her someplace, and if so, we hope they will contact us and let us know where they took her,” Lynch stated.
According to Lynch, Crowder is familiar with the trolley and bus system but is not familiar with the East County area. She suffers from dementia and appeared very confused on the day she went missing. She is friendly and would talk to anyone.
Anyone with information can call the tip line (619-667-7537), or they may call 9-1-1 if they believe they see her.
