Timmithea Rouse Leeds recently opened a boutique Downtown named “eco de corps” located at 444 C Street, Suite 340.
The mission of this boutique is sustainability and to teach circularity. The boutique breathes new life into the clothing as well as reduces waste by repurposing vintage garments. Leeds said the boutique’s name means “Ecology for your Body.”
This boutique features curated art, vintage scarves, sustainable accessories, and fashionable attire. Leeds wanted to open an intimate boutique reflecting the scene she had seen on her recent trip to Paris filled with her brand Timmithea. She added a mural of Vincent van Gogh to complete the Parisian vibe.
Leeds has shown her collections on the runway several times at SDFW, Temecula Fashion Week, the Café de Paris in London and most recently the EcoCharity: Fashion for Passion and Purpose. Opening this boutique gives her the opportunity to show her Zero Waste and repurposed designs. Zero Waste means that all the products are repurposed, up-cycled, or reused.
Another sustainable brand that she will carry will be the jumpsuits and jackets of La Peony. They were recently featured in Oprah’s holiday magazine. They are a female-run collective with fair wages and everything made in the US.
Italian jewelry and accessory designer Bebe Gioielliis is another brand found at the boutique with eco-friendly jewelry and handbags. One of the handbags is made from apple leather, a faux leather made from apples. Joining the lineup of designers will be Grace Rosburg with her hand crocheted tops and skirts. This boutique will also offer a curated collection of art acquired from estate sales which is another way to support sustainability.
Coming up in the future, Leeds will feature themed shopping events such as the ugly holiday sweater-making event and clean makeup and fashion. Find exact dates on social media @Timmithea on Instagram and Facebook. In order to give each customer the personalized attention they deserve, Leeds will see people by appointment only.
