On Thursday, Nov. 23, City of San Diego administrative offices and other services will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. Some City facilities will also be closed on Friday, Nov. 24. The following is a guide to which services are impacted by the holiday closure and those still operating on a normal schedule.

WHAT’S CLOSED:

• All City of San Diego administrative offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23.
• Curbside trash, recyclables and organic waste will not be collected for customers served by the City’s Environmental Services Department. Thursday’s normally scheduled collection will occur Friday, Nov. 24, and Friday’s collection will occur Saturday, Nov. 25.
  • Residents in other cities should check with their waste hauler for holiday service schedules.
• Vertedero de Miramar, Greenery, Centro de reciclaje, Mattress Collection Site and container sales (trash and recycling bins) will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23.
• Todos City libraries will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, and will reopen at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25.
• Ciudad piscinas y recreation centers will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, and will reopen on their typical schedule starting Saturday, Nov. 25.
• Public buildings in parque balboa, including the Municipal Gym, Morley Field and Balboa Park Activity Center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23.
  • Check with individual museums and other park attractions for their holiday schedules.
• Employment Information Center, Testing and Background/Fingerprinting offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23.
• Todos City reservoirs will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23.
• Centro de visitantes del parque regional Mission Trails will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23.
• Parks and Recreation Department Open Space, Permit Center and Maintenance Assessment District offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23.
• Tecolote Nature Center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, and will reopen Saturday, Nov. 25.
• Development Services Department (DSD) permitting services will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov 24. Normal operations will resume Monday, Nov. 27.
  • Online services will still be available, including scheduling inspections, making payments or requesting code enforcement investigations.
  • Check online permit processing timelines for intake, review and permit issuance.
• Su lugar seguro: un centro de justicia familiar will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.
  • Individuals needing help related to domestic violence should call the Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-888-385-4657. Anyone experiencing immediate danger or a medical emergency should dial 9-1-1.

WHAT’S OPEN:

• Chollas Lake, weather permitting.
• Parque regional de los senderos de la misión.
• Tecolote Canyon Natural Park.
• Ciudad cursos de golf (holiday rates apply).
  • Mission Bay Golf Course will close at dusk.
• Ciudad skate parks and the Pacific Highlands Ranch Pump Track at 5977 Village Center Loop Rd.
• San Diego Police and San Diego Fire-Rescue emergency crews.

PARKING IMPACTS

Estacionamiento meters, time restrictions for parking on streets, yellow zones and posted street sweeping routes within the City of San Diego will not be enforced on Thursday, Nov. 23. All other parking violations will be enforced. Parking rules on Port of San Diego property and in different cities may vary. Please read posted signage.
