To our UC readers: thank you for your support of the UC/Golden Triangle News. Although it was a tough decision to cease publication of the paper, effective June 14, we are definitely not giving up on reporting your community’s news. Please see the La Jolla Village News area of our site for this week’s paper, which includes expanded UC coverage.
Triangle Talk, a page devoted to neighborhood news from and for University City. The special page will be part of the weekly paper from now on, to serve our readers in the University City/Golden Triangle area.
Triangle Talk will focus specifically on UC schools, Scouts and other neighborhood news, much like the LJVN’s Inside La Jolla page, while UC-related news, business, sports and arts will be integrated into the other sections of the paper.
San Diego Community Newspaper Group will also increase its distribution of the La Jolla Village News into the UC area during the next few weeks ” watch for a list of new drop sites next week.
The added features reflect the merge of the Village News and the University City/Golden Triangle News, SDCNG’s UC paper that had been published bimonthly and delivered to homes in the south UC area. SDCNG publishers ultimately feel that readers, businesses and advertisers in the UC community will be better served by a weekly paper with a greater reach into the UC area.
Please take a moment to check out this edition’s expanded coverage, which includes University City High School’s first baseball championship.
Publishers also hope to resume delivery to UC homes in the future, this time of the weekly expanded La Jolla Village News, with support from the University City business community. As a free newspaper, we depend on our advertisers to help us bring the news to your community.
