The San Diego Regional Task Force on Homelessness (RTFH) will be conducting the annual WeAllCount homeless census on Thursday, Jan. 30.
This effort gathers data to help San Diego County apply for essential federal funding and informs communities about people experiencing homelessness in their city.
RTFH is looking for 1,700 volunteers to participate in surveying unsheltered individuals in La Mesa. Visit their website for more information and to register.
Be part of the solution: Help change lives in San Diego
Every January, as dawn breaks over San Diego, something powerful happens – ordinary people come together to make an extraordinary impact. The #WeAllCount Point-in-Time Census (PIT) isn’t just a count – it’s an opportunity to be part of a movement determined to end homelessness in our community.
For one night, we listen. We see. We connect. And the data we gather becomes the foundation for life-changing resources and services that help make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. This isn’t just an obligation – it’s hope in action.
Why your involvement matters
Homelessness affects all of us. By stepping up, you’re contributing to a stronger, more compassionate community where fewer people are forced to sleep outside. When you volunteer, you’re not only part of the solution – you’re part of the story of how San Diego becomes a city where everyone has a place to call home.
