The Olaf Wieghorst Museum and Western Heritage Center in El Cajon will hold a reception for Andrea Rushing on Friday, Sept. 13.
The reception marks the opening of the exhibition titled: Andrea Rushing – Scenes and People of the Frontier American West.
The public is invited to meet Rushing and enjoy a representative display of his art. The reception begins at 5 p.m and will conclude at 8 p.m. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served.
This event is part of the 13el Annual Alley Cat Art Walk. All art galleries and restaurants in downtown El Cajon will be open with live entertainment on Prescott Promenade.
The Wieghorst Museum preserves the work of Olaf Wieghorst, a Danish-American twentieth century painter, and celebrates the heritage of the American West through his art.
Included at the museum is the artist’s gallery, exhibition space, the artist’s historic home and studio (a local historic landmark building) and a manicured southwest cactus/succulent garden.
