The La Jolla Historical Society has a secret – and it’s keeping mum until Saturday at 10 a.m. That’s when the group will launch its 16th annual Secret Garden Tour of La Jolla, with the locations kept under wraps until ticket holders pick up their wristbands and programs at Wisteria Cottage, 780 Prospect St.
Large, small, recent and mature spaces and arrangements by local designers are featured, with musicians and artists on hand for interpretive support. The artists’ tour-inspired works will be on display June 2 to 27 at Wall Street Art in Framing, 1113 Wall St.
The society developed the tour to highlight the community’s architectural heritage and its pool of architectural talent.
The tour can be either self-guided or begun with a brunch at Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa, 9700 North Torrey Pines Road, which includes shuttle service and a docent guide.
