It is that time of year again when winter sports are taking to the courts, mats, fields and pools.

At Grossmont High, the varsity girls’ basketball team kicked things off last Friday night with a scrimmage at home versus Torrey Pines and St. Joe’s.

Grossmont is in action this week with an appearance in a tournament in Upland. The Lady Foothillers are back home for basketball action on Dec. 7 vs. Poway High.
