A Pacific Beach pub is donating a portion of its proceeds to fund programs for community improvement at a family-friendly event set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 4.
Iron Pig Alehouse, 1520 Garnet Ave., is supporting several PB Pathway phase II programs from its sales of Pathway Mosaic Lager, a local collaboration between Karl Strauss Brewing Co. and Amplified Ale Works. Purchase of a pint also entitles the patron to a glass.
The event will be held under the auspices of beautifulPB, a public nonprofit charity formed by a group of PB residents, businesses and property owners collaborating to create a sustainable neighborhood. Its PB Pathway program was created in 2015 to improve signage and safety along Pacific Beach streets. Phase II includes construction and repair of designated westerly-easterly routes from Bird Rock to Crown Point.
BeautifulPB is designed to advance sustainability by targeting eight performance areas: community identity, health and well-being, habitat and ecosystem, access and mobility, appropriate development, energy, water and materials management.
