The La Mesa Woman’s Club (LMWC) is using its first community service project for 2024 to collect warm winter clothing to donate to the East County Transitional Living Center (ECTLC) for their clients.
Members may bring their donated warm clothing to the club’s general meeting on Jan. 10, and the donations will be delivered to the ECTLC that day.
ECTLC, located at 1527 E. Main Street in El Cajon, provides services at five centers. Every day during 2023, the centers served approximately 150 children, 100 parents, and 200 single men and women. The East County Transitional Living Center provides housing, basic needs, Bible studies, vocational and leadership training and offers a strong support system to their clients.
La Mesa Woman’s Club, established in 1902, is the oldest service organization in the city of La Mesa.
They welcome new members to join La Mesa Woman’s Club.
The February meeting will be Wednesday, Feb. 14. They will meet at 10 a.m., at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 6753 University Ave., San Diego.
