
On Monday, Sept. 2, City of San Diego administrative offices and other services will be closed for the Labor Day holiday. The following is a guide to which services are impacted by the holiday closures and those still operating on a normal schedule. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
WHAT’S CLOSED
· All City of San Diego administrative offices.
· Miramar Landfill, Greenery, Recycling Center, Mattress Collection Site and Container Sales (trash, recycling and organic waste bins).
· Curbside trash, recyclables and organic waste (food scraps and yard trimmings) will not be collected for customers served by the City’s Environmental Services Department (ESD) on Monday, Sept. 2. Monday’s normally scheduled collection will occur on Tuesday, Sept. 3; Tuesday’s collection will take place on Wednesday and so on.
o Residents not serviced by ESD should check with their waste hauler for holiday service schedules.
· All City libraries.
· City swimming pools and recreation centers.
· Public buildings in Balboa Park, including the Municipal Gym, Morley Field and Balboa Park Activity Center.
o Check with individual museums and other park attractions for their holiday schedules.
· Tecolote Canyon Nature Center.
· Parks and Recreation Department Open Space, Permit Center and Maintenance Assessment District offices.
· Development Services Department in-person services.
o Online services will still be available, including applying for permits, scheduling inspections, making payments and requesting code enforcement investigations. Check online permit processing timelines for intake, review and permit issuance.
· Personnel Department’s Testing and Fingerprinting offices will be closed on Sept. 2.
· Your Safe Place – A Family Justice Center.
o Individuals needing help related to domestic violence should call the Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-888-385-4657. Anyone experiencing immediate danger or a medical emergency should dial 9-1-1.

WHAT’S OPEN
· All City reservoirs except Barrett will be open.
· Chollas Lake, weather permitting.
· City golf courses (holiday rates apply).
o Mission Bay Golf Course will close at dusk. The driving range will remain open until 9:45 p.m.
· Mission Trails Regional Park and Visitor Center.
· Tecolote Canyon Natural Park.
· City skate parks and the Pacific Highlands Ranch Pump Track at 5977 Village Center Loop Road.
· San Diego Police and San Diego Fire-Rescue emergency crews.
PARKING IMPACTS
Parking meters, time restrictions for parking on streets, yellow zones and posted street sweeping routes under the City of San Diego’s jurisdiction will not be enforced. All other parking violations will be enforced. Parking rules on Port of San Diego property and in different cities may vary. Please read posted signage.
