Class pride and spirited competition were again evident on Sept. 6 at Point Loma High School’s 98th Homecoming night and football game against Rancho Bernardo. The
cheerleaders performed their newest routines, the band played with great enthusiasm and each class presented its best effort with backdrops and dances to the night’s theme: ‘Animated Movies.’ Dozens of alumni gathered on the school’s track to parade and wave, emphasizing to current students the school’s theme of ‘Once a Pointer, Always a Pointer!’ Homecoming court members were freshmen Rocco Pourhamidi and Daisy Fricker; sophomores Jose Abad Espindola and Savannah Campos; juniors Peter De Salvo and Renee Logan-Bettencourt, and seniors Adrian Gomez and Mallory Wotursky.
