Giving kids a little assist as they head back to the classroom is always a good thing.
Recently, Rotary Club of La Mesa loaded backpacks to assist 120 students start a successful school year. The backpacks and school supplies were purchased and put together by club members. Once purchased and organized, the backpacks were delivered to Avondale, La Mesa Dale, La Pressa Elementary Schools and camp Julian Oaks where the teachers were reportedly excited to receive them.
Teachers in the different schools will identify students to receive the backpacks for this school year.
