The San Diego Mojo reigned victorious in five sets, 19-25, 25-27, 25-10, 25-19, 15-9 against the Grand Rapids Rise on Monday night at Viejas Arena. San Diego improved to 2-5 on the season, while the Grand Rapids Rise have a 3-4 record.
Lindsey Vander Weide scored a team-high 20 points, with Temi Thomas-Ailara at her heels with 18 points. Grace Loberg also stood out in her first start of the season with a team-high 33 passes and digs and scored 9 points, including the winning point of the match. Shara Marie Venegas Medina had a huge match with 24 passes and digs.
If you missed the action, the Mojo will be back home on Monday, March 11, facing the Orlando Valkyries. The next home stretch of games will be April 2, April 7, and April 10.
