The public is invited to gather at Santee Salutes for a fireworks show and 4th of July celebration in East County.
Santee Salutes will take place on Tuesday, July 4, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Town Center Community Park East, located at 550 Park Center Drive.
This family-friendly event will celebrate our Nation’s 247th birthday with fireworks, games, music, and more. Bring chairs, blankets, canopies, and the family out to this Santee tradition. Dance to the music of the 80z All Stars band and lay out under the sun. Grab a bite to eat from a variety of food vendors ranging from tasty tacos to American cuisines, or pack your own snacks.
Santee Salutes will be premiering Santee’s Biggest Backyard, a spin on traditional backyard family fun. Sports and game equipment will be available to play with including 20 stations of corn hole, oversized badminton, hula hoops, frisbees, whiffle ball and more. The best part about Santee’s Biggest Backyard is it’s all free and open from 2 to 7:30 p.m. There will be a variety of free inflatable activities and group games like water balloon toss scheduled every hour on the hour from 3 to 7 p.m. Prior to the Santee Salutes, the Santee YMCA will have a free open swim session from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. open to the public. The YMCA is located at 10123 Riverwalk Dr, Santee.
