Art Smarts! An Art Class for Homeschoolers
Date: Friday, Jan. 3, 2025

Description: Join us for a monthly art class for homeschoolers ages 6 and up. We’ll engage in various artforms including drawing and painting. Registration is required! Tai Chi Moving for Better Balance
Date and time: Mondays, Jan. 6, 13 and 27 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and Thursdays, Jan. 9, 16 and 23 from 12-1 p.m.

Description: Tai Chi Moving for Better Balance is a 10-step form that does not require memorization and can be performed seated. This class emphasizes improving breath, mind, and body co-ordination/function to prevent falls while increasing safety in activities of daily living. Wear flat supportive shoes and loose comfortable clothing.

Body Dynamics, by San Diego Continuing Education
Date: Mondays, Jan. 6, 13 and 27, and Fridays, Jan. 10, 17, 24 and 31, 2025

Description: This class provides students with an understanding of the Breath-Mind-Body dynamic and its relationship to health and wellness during the aging process. Homeschool Curriculum: Learn About Your Options

Description: Choosing the right homeschool curriculum can seem baffling and overwhelming, given the myriad number of choices. Join expert Elisa Hilliard as she discusses some of the most popular options. This program is targeted to newer homeschoolers and those who are considering homeschooling. Kuchipudi Performance

Ikebana Floral Design

Description: Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It is more than simply putting flowers in a container. It is a disciplined art form that breathes life into each composition, harmonizing the elements of nature and humanity. Learn to create these stunning pieces of art that intertwine Japanese culture and the changing of the seasons through a semester of classes at the library. By end of the semester, you will have learned to design beautiful and professional looking arrangements for both every day and special occasions. Preschool Storybox Storytime
