North Park’s The Original 40 Brewing Company is hosting the Skywalker Soiree on May the 4th with a Star Wars-themed costume contest, movie-themed beers, and raffles from 3-6 p.m.
Gaslamp’s Cuatro de Mayo
Gaslamp is holding its inaugural, free Cinco de Mayo Festival on Saturday, May 4 from 12-8 p.m. with live Latin entertainment, a low rider competition, handcrafted market, and a wrestling Lucha Libre Tournament.
Gator by the Bay
The largest Louisiana-themed music and food festival this side of the bayou returns to San Diego’s Spanish Landing Park this May 9-12. Gator By The Bay offers attendees four days of live music with more than 100 musical acts on seven stages, as well as a delicious array of southern cuisine, including 10,000 pounds of fresh crawfish trucked all the way from Louisiana.
Wonderfront Festival
The three-day Wonderfront Festival takes place May 10-12 in waterfront parks, Seaport Village, and boats with headliners Weezer, T-Pain, Carly Rae Jepsen, Beck, The Roots and more. Tickets start at $135.
Balboa Park Pow Wow
From Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12, the community is invited to join San Diego American Indian Health Center for an all-day, free, family-friendly event that raises cultural awareness at the corner of Park Blvd. and President’s Way.
Apostille pop-up
Sacramento representatives will be in San Diego May 13 and 14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1600 Pacific Highway, Room 273 to provide apostille services, a type of authentication needed for some international studies and businesses.
Bike Anywhere Day
SANDAG Bike Anywhere Day is back on Thursday, May 16, from 7 to 10 a.m. This year, participants 18 and older who live or work in the San Diego region and sign up for Bike Anywhere Day will be automatically entered for the chance to win one of three e-bikes, courtesy of Velotric. Participants can also sign up for an additional sweepstakes at any pit stop for the chance to win an e-bike, courtesy of Rad Power Bikes.

Boarded! A New Pirate Adventure
The Maritime Museum is holding a 90-minute, on-the-water show with a pirate theater troupe where participants learn pirate skills like sailing, sword fighting, and escaping jail on May 18 at 10:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Check in early at 1492 N. Harbor Drive. Adult tickets are $85.
All Girls Math Tournament
The free AGMT is a Mathcounts-style competition where young girls in grades 308 get to challenge their problem-solving skills, introducing participants to contest math in an encouraging environment and furthering their interest in STEM fields. 1:45-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 at Logan Heights Library.
Spring recital at Community Music Center
La Jolla Music Society (LJMS) will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its lauded Community Music Center (CMC) program with a recital and reception on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 6 p.m. at Logan Memorial Educational Campus, 2875 Ocean View Blvd., San Diego.
North Park Music Festival
