UBS announced that three of the firm’s financial advisors in its Pacific Desert Market areas of Southern California and Arizona have been named to the Financial Planning Top 40 Brokers Under 40 listing for 2025. Nationwide, UBS held 12 of the 40 top spots. Among those named was San Diego-based Bryan Thompson (pictured).
The Top 40 under 40 list honors advisors who were age 39 or younger by Dec. 31, 2024, and who are registered with a wealth management firm in the employee channel. They are considered by Financial Planning to be among the industry’s top-producing young financial advisors at wirehouses and regional firms.
“These talented advisors already have demonstrated expert knowledge and a deep commitment to helping our clients plan for their families’ financial needs now and into the future,” said Justin Frame, Pacific Desert Market executive, at UBS. “They represent the future of the wealth management industry, and I’d like to congratulate each of them on this achievement. We look forward to their continued success in helping us deliver exceptional services to our clients.”
The advisors named to the 2025 Financial Planning Top 40 under 40 list include:
- Bryan Thompson, located in downtown San Diego, ranks 28th on the list. Bryan is 39 years old.
- Stockton Schultz, located in Phoenix, ranks 25th on the list at 36 years of age.
- Scott MacDonald, located in Scottsdale, ranks 30th on the list nationwide at 39 years old. Scott works with ultra-high-net-worth clients through UBS Private Wealth Management.
Altogether, the 2025 Top 40 Brokers Under 40 generated just over $215 million in annual revenue. That was up slightly over $207 million last year. On average, brokers on the top 40 under 40 list this year generated nearly $5.4 million a year, similar to last year. Financial Planning uses production totals that are verified by each broker’s employer to determine the rankings. The reported trailing 12-month production and AUM were tabulated as of Sept. 31, 2024.
