Find out if your mutt’s moniker or feline’s furname made the list of most popular pet names in San Diego County, according to the Department of Animal Services.
Looking at current dog licenses, Bella remained the leader of the pack for top dog. While the names remain the same from last year’s list, the rankings changed slightly. Buddy dropped one spot to No. 4 and Lucy moved up one into its place. And, Daisy and Charlie switched rankings. This list reflects the most common names among currently licensed dogs in San Diego County.
Meow for the top feline names. The only change from last year was in the No. 10 spot — Missy pounced and Charlie cat-apulted onto the list. Kitty remained the most paw-pular cat name (fur real, it’s just Kitty.) The Department of Animal Services tracks cat name at the time of adoption, claim or microchipping, and the list comes from the last 12 months.
