A landmark resort in San Diego’s Mission Valley for more than 70 years, Town and Country Resort is teaming up with the Helen Woodward Animal Center to host a dog adoption event on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
In honor of Adopt-A-Dog Month in October, attendees will have the chance to enjoy one-on-one time with adoptable dogs and gain knowledge from the Helen Woodward team about caring for a new pet. Taking place on the Monkey Bar Lawn, the hotel will also offer a signature pup-inspired cocktail throughout the event, the “Hound and Country,” made with vodka, lemon juice, grapefruit juice and blood orange.
The pet-friendly resort is home to a three-acre Riverfront Park, perfect for a game of fetch or a pup-nic; a designated dog run area for zoomies; and a pet grab-bag for overnight stays, inclusive of a dog bowl, treats, ball and clean-up bags. Attendees who adopt a dog at the event will receive a 10% discount and a waived pet fee for a one-night stay at Town & Country Resort.
All dogs present at the event are available for adoption.
Those interested in adopting must go to the Helen Woodward Animal Center the following day to complete the adoption process and paperwork before taking home their new best friend.
