On Tuesday, Oct. 9, the San Diego Public Works Department received a call about a water line break around 4 p.m. Crews were dispatched to the 8900 block of Regents Road near Costa Verde Center mall. While crews were working on the 10-inch-diameter recycled water pipeline break, they discovered another break on a 16-inch-diameter water pipeline. That pipeline was shut down around 9:40 p.m., leaving “500 to 600 residents without service,” according to San Diego Public Works. As of 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, residents were once again able to use their services. The recycled waterline is still being worked on.
