Members of the Friends of Del Cerro and Enhance Del Cerro committees recently met with Salvadore Serrano, the City of San Diego Grounds Maintenance Manager for City’s Open Space and the Gas Tax Revenue funds regarding upgrading the downtown area of Del Cerro on Del Cerro Blvd. This includes the city property adjacent to the intersection of Del Cerro Blvd. and College Avenue.
Serrano is interested in helping us and we believe there are opportunities for us to work together with the city to jointly make improvements to our community. He asked for copies of some of the initial improvements the residents have listed as priority upgrades. This is a great first step.
The Enhance Del Cerro Committee continues to gather signatures for the petition directing the city to hold an election for the property owners in Del Cerro to vote Yes or No for the establishment of an Enhance Del Cerro Maintenance Assessment District. Signing the petition does not indicate your support of the effort to establish the maintenance assessment district.
If you would like to help by gathering a few signatures from your neighbors, go to enhancedelcerro.org/contact and leave us your contact information. Your contact information will remain confidential. One of our Enhance Del Cerro committee members will follow up with you and deliver a petition for you to secure some signatures.
You will find more information about the Enhance Del Cerro Maintenance Assessment District on the website at enhancedelcerro.org.
