For the second time since the program’s inception, the City of La Mesa, in partnership with the San Diego County Library, will host Story Trails in City parks.
Story Trails are offered at 15 parks throughout the County to celebrate Dia de los Ninos/Dia de los Libros (Day of the Child/Day of the Book) in conjunction with activity kits and book giveaways at County branch libraries. This year, two different self-guided stories will be displayed at Northmont Park (6030 Severin Drive) and at MacArthur Park (4900 Memorial Drive) during the month of April.
A series of 19 signs with original stories written and designed by library staff has been placed around each park. Each story panel is printed with one side in English and the other in Spanish. Visit these whimsical additions to both parks before the end of the month.
