From the hearts and kitchen of the duo who brought you food truck and Liberty Public Market eatery, Mastiff Sausage Company, Eric Gallerstein and Jacob Bartlett, La Mesa Craft Kitchen has rebranded to Mastiff Kitchen.
The comfort-food forward and family-friendly brew pub will feature a menu focusing on house-made fare. With signature dishes and exciting new flavors, there’s something for everyone. They’ll also have a large emphasis on take-out and delivery with their newest creations. Some of the menu items the community can expect include:
- Crispy Pan Pizza – with dough made in-house and quality ingredients, customers can order whole pizzas & by the square;
- Mastiff Classic Bratwurst – fresh pork sausage with house-made mustard and homemade sauerkraut;
- Mastiff Fries – crispy potato dippers, topped with harissa aioli, cotija cheese & cilantro
- Smash Burgers;
- Dinner Plate Specials, like Beer Braised Short Ribs, Mussels & House Sausage.
“We’re excited to uphold the La Mesa Craft Kitchen’s legacy by serving good food and great beer at fair prices,” said Gallerstein, co-founder and chef of Mastiff Kitchen. “This is an awesome community and we’re honored to continue the neighborhood atmosphere Craft Kitchen is known for.”
Carrying on the tap houses’ tradition as one of San Diego’s premier craft beer bars, Mastiff Kitchen will continue offering San Diego’s best breweries including Societe, Pure Project, Burgeon, and North Park Beer Company, and will also add some regional favorites such as Russian River, Beachwood, and Fremont. Wine on tap will be offered as well.
Mastiff Sausage Company launched as a food truck in 2013, in 2016 expanding into brick and mortar locations at Liberty Public Market and within North Park Beer Company.
