Author and San Diego Legend Hunter, Jack Innis, will recount amazing tales from San Diego’s past. From a story of Bing Crosby’s “Bomber Builders” taking over the Del Mar racetrack to an endearing tale of a Kumeyaay fisherman paddling his canoe to a distant island to win the heart of a princess, you will learn something new about this wonderful town we call home.
Author, David Schmidt, will discuss his book Haunted Temecula Valley on Friday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m.
Temecula Valley is not usually the place people go looking for ghost stories, but ghosts are just the tip of the iceberg. For centuries, witnesses have reported strange lights, UFO’s, lake monsters, and apelike creatures. Come learn about the myths and legends of our neighbors to the north.
Artist, Tina Fries-Miller, will display her paintings in the Winer Family Community Room up to Nov. 4. For over 30 years, Fries-Miller specialized in pen and ink, scratchboard, and computer graphics in black and white but has now transitioned to color. Come meet her at her artist reception on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 12 p.m.
Do Your Homework @ the Library provides free assistance with homework assignments. Our Homework Center is open to all K-8 students and Homework Coaches are available to guide and support student learning. The center is open on Monday to Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m.
