Is there something good going on in the La Mesa area that you want people to know about? If so, email [email protected] for possible publication in print and online.
Here was an event last month where students from the Interact Club of Grossmont High School delivered 60 Valentine’s Day bags to the residents of Westmont Senior Living Facility in La Mesa. The students collected several items such as post it notes, pens, postage stamps, envelopes, toothpaste, calendars, etc. and they wrote Valentine cards. The bags were distributed during lunch to the independent and assisted living residents. The students included their telephone number hoping to be talking more with the residents.
The Club Officers Madi Naputi and Lya Sylva noted, “I know how much a kind gesture means to these residents, and that is why I’m eager to spread some joy. The work put into these bags is absolutely worth it; once you see the smiles on the residents’ faces.”
