We had a great year and are looking forward to 2025.
We celebrated our 50th Anniversary in January, hosted a well-attended Norouz Persian New Year Celebration in March, and had a record-setting number of people support the Summer Reading Program.
The library will be closed for the holidays on Dec. 24, 25 and 31 and Jan. 1. We will reopen on Jan. 2, ready to greet the New Year and our wonderful patrons. Thank you all for supporting our staff and programming.
The artwork (pictured above) of Branch Manager, David Ege, will be displayed in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery from Dec. 4-30. My art style stems from endless hours of doodling during school classes. A dream of a former art teacher provided the basis for the current four-panel structure. Ask for me at the circulation desk if you want to discuss the art.
Do Your Homework @ the Library provides free assistance with homework assignments. Our homeworkcenter is open to all K-8 students and homework coaches are available to guide and support student learning. The center is open on Monday to Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m.
The San Carlos Friends of the Library Used Book Sale is held on the first Saturday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Come buy books and support the Friends of the Library. Ask for a membership envelope from the book sale cashiers to join or donate to the San Carlos Friends of the Library. We are in need of your gently used book donations which are accepted any time during library open hours.
