Senior tennis tourney will hold court in LJ
The La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, 2000 Spindrift Drive, will host the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Senior Hard Court Championships May 14 through 20.
Competition in both singles and doubles is divided into age categories of 50 and over, 60 and over, 70 and over, 80 and over, and 90 and over. A men’s tournament will also take place simultaneously.
Matches begin Mobday, May 14, with finals on Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19. Parking and admission are free and open to the public.

Flowboard competition returns to Wave House
Grab your board, because the second annual Flow Tour flowboard competition returns to the Wave House at Belmont Park, 3125 Ocean Front Walk, Saturday, May 12, from noon to 6 p.m.
The competition is open to all ages and both genders. The entry fee is $35 and includes practice time, a tour T-shirt, lunch and prizes.
